Qantas has just unveiled their new First and Business Class cabins, and they are impressive. With an ultra-long haul travel focus in mind, Qantas’ new cabins are designed with refined comfort and innovative features that will change the way you think about air travel. But what sets these cabins apart from the rest?
Introducing Qantas’ Project Sunrise
The new First and Business Class cabins are part of Qantas’ Project Sunrise, which is aimed at providing ultra-long-haul travel with direct flights between Australia and New York or London. With prototypes of the cabins set to be released on Qantas’ 12 Airbus A350s from late 2025, the new cabins offer more than just additional space – they provide unparalleled comfort and convenience.
Spacious and Luxurious First Suites
Qantas’ new First Suites are the epitome of luxury. Featuring an extra-wide fixed bed, a separate recliner chair, a personal wardrobe, and a dining table for two, you’ll have plenty of space to stretch out and relax. And with a 32″ ultra-high definition TV, you won’t miss a moment of your favourite show or movie.
Innovative Business Suites
Qantas’ new Business Suites are designed with the passenger in mind. You’ll have everything you need for a comfortable journey with direct aisle access, sliding doors for privacy, and a two-meter flatbed. And with generous storage (including a small mirror), a cushioned leather ottoman, and an 18″ ultra-high definition touch screen TV, you’ll have all the comforts of home while in the air.
Small Features, Big Impact
Qantas’ attention to detail is impressive, with multiple personal devices charging options, fast and free high-speed Wi-Fi with partner Viasat, and Bluetooth connectivity to connect your own Bluetooth-enabled headset to the in-flight entertainment system. And with a tailored lighting program that will influence mood and sleep patterns, you’ll arrive at your destination feeling refreshed and relaxed.
Qantas’ new cabins were developed by a mix of aviation specialists, Australian industrial design studio Caon Design, and a multidisciplinary team of scientists from the University of Sydney’s Charles Perkins Centre, including sleep scientists. The result is a personalized sense of space with storage design elements that keep personal items within arm’s reach.
Qantas‘ new First and Business Class cabins are a game-changer in the world of air travel. With innovative features, personalized comfort, and a focus on ultra-long-haul travel, these cabins are the future of air travel. So, when Qantas’ 12 Airbus A350s take to the skies in late 2025, be sure to book a seat in one of their luxurious new cabins. ◼
