New Luxury Hotel in Maldives, 2022

Alila, Kothaifaru, Maldives

Alila is coming to the Maldives with Kothaifaru Maldives in Raa Atoll, a scenic 45-minute seaplane journey from Malé. A house reef surrounds the resort, and guests will be able to enjoy spectacular sunrise or sunset views from one of the 80 villas, including 36 overwater villas.

Like its other well-known properties globally, the Alila resort will have bespoke culinary hubs, a dedicated spa wellness centre, various zones of calm and serenity, and a water sports centre. The focus of Alila Kothaifaru Maldivesis will be on luxury and relaxation; the design of this resort will be rooted in eco-conscious practices.

The location of Alila Kothaifaru – in the Raa Atoll – makes this resort unique. The atoll consists of 88 islands; 15 are uninhabited, with deep water on the outer ridges of the atoll and shallow depths surrounding the inner islands. This sets the scene for excellent scuba diving and snorkelling opportunities in all directions of the resort island, including excursions to Hanifaru Bay, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve.
