Singapore is once again ready to set sail with the Singapore Yacht Show as it returns for its 10th edition from 27-30 April 2023. This will be their first show since 2019 when South East Asia was last able to come down and join the festivities. With Singapore being a prominent port of call for many in Asia, Singapore Yacht Show is an event to be noticed by avid sailors and luxury lifestyle lovers.
With ten editions of the Singapore Yacht Show held so far, this edition promises to be grand both on land and sea – with a varied selection of yachts alongside exciting activities such as superyacht cruising, yacht chartering, watersports and much more.
The importance of South East Asia as a cruising destination
South East Asia is often considered the most pristine yachting destination, offering sailors incredible sights and experiences as they make their way through the different islands. The marine landscape within South East Asia alone offers 27,000 islands for superyachts to cruise, charter and partake in activities one could only dream of. Yacht manufacturers, retailers and brokers have noticed the continuing influx of large yachts here, with rising interest from Asian buyers to buy and charter.
With such a large number of islands dispersed throughout the region, ranging from black sand beaches and lush rainforests to bustling cities and secluded coves, it’s no wonder that the next decade of cruising belongs to this corner of Asia. From Thailand and Vietnam to Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines – South East Asia offers yacht cruisers an incredible range of experiences which meet their every desire.
The rise of the yachting culture in Asia
Yachting events around the region are set to surge in 2023 as plans are being made for two sister international Yacht Shows, Thailand Yacht Show and Hong Kong Yacht Show, while Singapore is readying itself to host SailGP, the region’s first professional sailing event. The Yacht Shows will be pivotal in showcasing some of the most extravagant yachting vessels and services across Asia-Pacific.

On its part, the thrilling SailGP event scheduled for January 14th to 15th at Parkland Green Race Village on Singapore’s East Coast Park will witness sailors compete under strict safety guidelines. Yachting aficionados and spectators will have a blast with these upcoming events.
Yachting destinations in Asia are not limited to the South China Sea or the Indian Ocean; the Red Sea coastline off Saudi Arabia is seeing a surge in development and popularity. With its distinctive turquoise waters and coral reefs, adventurers looking for a new and unforgettable exploration journey will find themselves satisfied at this unique destination.
Sindalah is actively reimagining what yachting & luxury travel culture can be at the Red Sea, with a glamorous calendar of exciting year-round events centred around cultural and musical activities. Yacht enthusiasts worldwide will flock to participate in this stimulating and beautiful experience, which will quickly become one of the continent’s luxurious yachting destinations.

With the same number of berths available in its original 272 capacity, the marina has been able to double its superyacht capacity, making it a suitable dock for bigger yachts.
